Mae B. Hostetter

Mae B. Hostetter, 68, of Fogelsville, died on Feb. 9, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Inpatient Hospice Unit.

She was the loving wife of B. Dale Hostetter for 34 years last July.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Mildred (Strohl) Bleiler.

A 1965 graduate of Parkland High School and a 1969 graduate of Mansfield University, she earned her Master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1976 and worked for Penn State University Cooperative Extension in 4-H for 25 years.

She also was involved in the International 4-H Youth Exchange and spent six months in Argentina in 1969.

After retirement, she worked part time for Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County and received the Lehigh County Unsung Hero Award in 2011.

She was an active member of Ziegels United Church of Christ, Breinigsville, where she also sang with the choir.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sisters, Lorraine Bleiler of Owego, N.Y. and Valerie E.. wife of Donald Cunningham of Bonita Springs, Fla.

Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. Feb. 20 at Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville with the Rev. Candi Cain-Borgman officiating.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 19 and 9-11 a.m. Saturday in the church.
