Donald B. Lloyd, 81, of Allentown, died Feb. 10, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the husband of Regina M. (Zirblis) Lloyd and the late Diane F. (Gerhart) Lloyd.

Born Jan. 1, 1935, in Coaldale, Schuylkill County, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Ethel (Womer) Lloyd.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era.

A graduate of East Stroudsburg University, he was a social studies teacher at the Arthur Johnson Regional High School, Union County, N.J., for 36 years.

Active in the life of his church, he was a member of Christ Evangelical Congregational Church, Allentown, where he served on the financial management commission, the ministry council and the evangelism missions commission.

He was a member of Gideons International.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a stepson, Robert B. Ashmore and his wife, Nancy, of Orefield; and many cousins.
