John P. Moralis, 86, formerly of Bethlehem, died Feb. 11, 2016, at Gracedale Nursing Home. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Peter J. and Evangeline (Marguaritas) Moralis. He was the husband of Charlotte J. (Jones) Moralis for 67 years.

He was a 1946 graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy, where he was a fullback on the first undefeated football team and an undefeated wrestling champion. He then graduated from Liberty High School in 1947.

He worked for Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 42 years. In 1950, he played football for the Bethlehem Bulldogs, a farm team of the Philadelphia Eagles.

He was a member of Advent Moravian Church.

He was a member of the Bethlehem MORA Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, John and his wife Marcia Madison, Thomas and his wife Barbara Moralis and Anita Fazakas, all of Bethlehem; seven grandchildren, Thomas Jr., David, Kevin, Kathie and David Fazakas and Daniel and Samantha; and five great-grandchildren, Evan, David, Ryan, Peter and Amber.
