W. Andrew “Andy” Cousin Sr., 66, of Orefield, died peacefully Feb. 5, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, following complications from a pulmonary embolism.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of William J. “Bill” Cousin of Bethlehem and the late Rachel (Jopson) Cousin.
He grew up in Ridley Park where, as a member of the high school football team, he caught the eye of a cheerleader named Ann (Bair) who was the love of his life and wife of 44 years.
A 1973 graduate of the University of Delaware, he spent a proud career in sales management with Altria before retiring in 2010 and realizing his family’s dream of owning a home in Ocean City, N.J.
He enjoyed traveling, history, his time at the shore, and Penn State tailgating.
He was also active in cycling and was a member of The Fitness Plaza.
He always had a smile, could make everyone laugh and was renowned in his many social circles for making the world’s best Bloody Mary’s.
In addition to his wife, and father, he is survived by sons, W. Andrew Jr. and his wife, Margot, of Rochester, Minn. and Jeffrey M. and his wife, Katrina, of Bear, Del.; brother-in-law Stephen Fairbanks-Clark of Roeland Park, Kan.; and his beloved grandchildren Owen, Brooks, Madeleine, Garrett and Lucas.
He was predeceased by his mother and sister, Julie Fairbanks-Clark.
