State police

Pennsylvania State Police responded to these and other calls recently.

NOV. 27, 2015

At approximately 12:58 a.m. at Waffle House Restaurant, 1783 Airport Road, Hanover Township, Lehigh County, a former employee, Tiffany Shawn Cupples (also known as Alexandria Francis Hage), 31, came in to the restaurant, pushed in a code at the cash register and removed all five- and 10-dollar bills, totaling $210.

Cupples, of Allentown, left the restaurant displaying a sharp metallic object as she pushed her way out past employees attempting to stop her. Other persons involved were three adult victims, all of Allentown.

Charges of robbery, simple assault, theft and receiving stolen property were filed against Cupples with Lehigh County District Court 31-1-05.

JAN. 21

At approximately 9:08 p.m., terroristic threats were made in the 2200 block of Red Hill Road, Whitehall, by Tyler Carl Nonnemacher, 33, of Slatington. The victim was a 32-year-old female, also of Slatington.

Nonnemacher and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation, when Nonnemacher allegedly said he was going to shoot the victim and any responding law enforcement while hiding in the woods.

State police found Nonnemacher lying in the wooded area near the residence. He was taken into custody and arraigned at Lehigh County Prison on $100,000 straight bail.

JAN. 29

A DUI checkpoint was conducted from approximatively 10:30 p.m. Jan. 29 to 3:30 a.m. Jan. 30 on Race Street in the area of Cascade Drive, Hanover Township, Lehigh County. The checkpoint resulted in 55 motorists contacted, with four DUI arrests, 32 summary traffic citations and 13 warnings.
