Phillip H. Deater Sr., 77, of Hanover Township, died Feb. 2, 2016, at St. Luke’s University Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Herbert and Myra (Balliet) Deater. He was the husband of Carolyn (Hunsicker) Deater for 57 years.
He was a 1956 graduate of Liberty HS.
He was in the US Marine Corps.
He worked for Deiter Brothers and retired as the service manager after many years of service.
He was a former member of Salem Lutheran Church.
He was a former member of the MORA Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Phillip Jr. and his wife Colleen of Danielsville and Deborah, and Scott and his wife Tracy, all of Bethlehem; a sister, Roberta and her husband Steven Farkas of Bethlehem; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a grandson, Tyler Deater; and a sister, Annette McTague.
Arrangements were made by Long Funeral Home Inc., Bethlehem.
