Richard J. Harwick, 80, of Emmaus, died January 27, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus. He was the husband of Joyce Harwick. Born in Zion Hill, he was a son of the late Albert and Grace (Kemmerer) Harwick.

He was a well-known photographer in the Lehigh Valley for more than 50 years. He and his wife owned R.J. Harwick Photography and were the only Master Craftsman Photographers in the Lehigh Valley.

He was involved in the international, national, state and regional photography organizations serving in all offices. He received many awards for his achievements and service.

He honorably and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard.

He is survived by his wife; children, Kristen and her husband Jeff Deal, Ann Trumbauer and her companion Rick Vanaski, Peter and his wife Julie, Nancy Hamden, Nicolette Utsinger, John Utsinger III and his wife Tonia and Daniel Utsinger and his wife Erin; grandchildren, Ashley, Lindsay, Tirah, Garret, Russell, Steven, Sean, Jaimie, Natasha, Nina, Nikita, Sierra, John IV, Zoe, Abby, Michael and David; great-grandchildren, Noah, Paighton and Barron.
