A 65-year-old man was found dead in his home Jan. 18 at 5613 Heather Lane, North Whitehall, said Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim.

Theodore R. Maiser was pronounced dead by Deputy Coroner Edward Zucal at 9:45 p.m. the same day in his home.

According to State Police Troop M Bethlehem, troopers were dispatched to the home to investigate a report Maiser had not been seen or heard from in eight days.

Police say upon arrival lights and other electronics were seen on but contact with anyone inside was unsuccessful.

Troopers gained entry into the home via the garage and found Maiser deceased.

On Jan. 19, the coroner said the cause and manner of death were pending further forensic examination.

Maiser died from natural causes, police said on Jan. 27.
