Mae A. Kester, 92, formerly of East Texas, died February 1, 2016, at Cedarbrook. She was the wife of the late John A. Kester, who died February of 1990. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Thomas G. and Irene C. (Becht) Leibensperger.

She was in charge of the East Texas post office from 1953 until retirement.

She had been a member of St. Matthew’s E.C. Church, Emmaus and the East Texas Playground Auxiliary and had an active interest in both Western Lehigh Lions Club and Lehigh Valley Quarter Midget Racing Club.

She is survived by daughters, Roxanne L. Bartholomew and Judith A., wife of Frank H. Frederick, all of East Texas, sister, Ruth Glase, of Macungie; grandchildren, Tammy, Penny, Tracy, John, Jennifer and Chris; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Arlene Hartzell and Grace Hoffman.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. February 5 in the Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville. A calling hour will begin 9:30 a.m.
