Borough public works personnel are receiving kudos from residents across the town, recognizing their round-the-clock work removing snow from alleys and streets, curb to curb.
The crews closed off blocks of streets as they removed the snow, which was taken for the most part to the lower-level parking lot at the borough parkway.

Not too many individuals called the borough office asking if anyone was available to remove snow from their sidewalks. The borough had only two teenage boys who submitted their names for such work.
However, in some instances, youths were seen either volunteering their services or shoveling snow for residents on a donation basis.
Helpful neighbors also were observed with snowblowers, removing snow from sidewalks on their block.
