Jean Goodhile, 84, of Coplay, died Jan. 21, 2016, in her home.

She was the wife of the late Arlan C. Goodhile.

Born in Washington Township, she was the daughter of the late Oscar J. and Gertrude E. (Levan) Scheffler.

She was a sewing machine operator at the former Halsen’s Mfg., Slatington, and the former Barsew Mfg., Lehighton, for a combined total of 42 years before retiring 2000.

She was a member of Hope Community Church, Fogelsville.

Her survivors include children Diane G. of Coplay and Terry A., with whom she resided; grandchildren April E. Demjenick and Brian A. Goodhile; and great-grandchildren Amanda and Keith.

She was predeceased by a son, Dennis C.

A memorial service will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
