The library will have an adult coloring club the fourth Tuesday of every month starting Jan. 26. We will meet 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

This club is for all adults who are 18 and older. The library has some supplies but invites patrons to bring their own supplies as well. Stores like 5-Below and A.C. Moore have basic supplies at a good price.

We will be using colored pencils, markers and crayons. Samples will be available by the first session.

Adult coloring books have become very popular the past few years. It also has been proven to help relieve stress and increase communication with other adults.

The club will meet Jan. 26, Feb. 23, March 22, April 26 and May 24.

A reminder that The Morning Call’s Be An Angel program ends Jan. 30. If you would like to help the library by donating some items on our wish list, please include your name and address with your gift and send to the attention of (or give to) staff members Chris or Patty. • arts and crafts supplies for children’s programs

H&R Block will be at the library noon-2 p.m. Jan. 30 to assist with tax preparation, personal finances, understanding health care reform and more.

This session is free.

Our adult winter reading program has started, and we invite all patrons who are 18 and older to sign up and join the fun! It will run until March 19 with the wrap-up party 1-2 p.m. or 6-7 p.m. March 22.

Our theme this year is “Read ’N’ Feed!” We‘ll have a suggested reading list ready for you to pick up when you register.

This year, any participant who reads and logs one or more books may submit up to five recipes per book logged. Each recipe must be typed or printed clearly because we will be using your recipes to create a Whitehall Township Public Library cookbook in the spring.

Any recipe, from cookies to barbecued ribs and salads to desserts, will be accepted. A sample will be at the front desk by February.

Registration for storytimes begins Feb. 9. You may register online, or call the library and we can register for you. The following are offered:

Preschool storytime, 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays, March 1 through April 5, and 1 p.m. Wednesdays, March 2 through April 6

Toddler storytime, 10:30 a.m. Thursdays, March 10 through April 7

Family storytime, 7 p.m. Wednesdays, March 2 through April 6 (No registration is required for family storytime.)

The new library online catalog is now available on our website. From the website, click on the library catalog and see how user-friendly it is. You will see the book covers, be able to place holds and look at the books shelved in the same area called a virtual shelf.
