State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Maribell Curbelo-Davila, 46, of Coplay, was driving a 2007 Jeep Commander when it struck a utility pole 7:26 p.m. Jan 12 at 2559 Old Post Road, North Whitehall Township.
According to police, Curbelo-Davila was eastbound on Old Post Road when she lost control of her vehicle on the icy road, causing it to slide down a hill before striking a utility pole with its driver’s side door.
The Jeep came to a final rest at the point of impact with the utility pole, facing southeast.
Curbelo-Davila, who police say was wearing her seat belt, sustained a minor injury.
The Jeep sustained moderate damage to its driver’s side.
Trooper Blake Shortall, Northern Valley Emergency Medical Service, Neffs and Laurys fire departments, Ironton Towing and PennDOT assisted at the scene.
Curbelo-Davila was issued a warning for driving at an unsafe speed.
State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Justin Michael Keiper reported his vehicle’s front driver’s side window was smashed between 3:45 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 8 while it was parked in front of 2227 Old Post Road, North Whitehall Township.
