To the Editor:

Front page news: NASD budget plan shows tax hike. Again!

The proposed property tax increase is 5.24 percent. By the time of final approval, it will be less than this, and we will be told the district did us a favor with a lower increase.

For us senior citizens, our Social Security cost of living increase is 0 percent. Our IRA accounts are losing value, and we are going backward financially. Do the math.

Call your state senator and representative to work on eliminating the school property tax in Pennsylvania because school districts will never stop increasing taxes.

We the taxpayers are at risk of losing our homes because of the out-of-control spending of our government education system.

Change is needed now!
