Uarda V. Vaughn, 93, formerly of Orefield and Blossburg, died Jan. 6, 2016, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall.
She was the wife of the late James W. Vaughn.
Born Aug. 18, 1922, in Blossburg, Tioga County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Hannah (Johnson) Scaife.
She was the manager of the former L.F. Widmann Co., Mansfield, Tioga County.
Prior to that, she was a clerk at the former Ben Franklin Five and Dime, Blossburg.
During the Second World War, she was employed at Bendix Corp. in Elmira, N.Y., for several years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blossburg, where she sang with the choir for more than 50 years.
Her survivors include a son Dr. Robert W. Vaughn and his wife, Dr. Lisa B. Vaughn, of New Tripoli; daughter-in-law Jane R. Vaughn of Bath; grandchildren Jessica and her husband, Barthelemy Tossenou, James R. Vaughn II and his wife, Danielle (Cassler), Elizabeth and her husband, Gregory Bringhurst, and Amy Vaughn; great-granddaughters Rebecka and Sarah Vaughn.
She was predeceased by a son, James R., two brothers and one sister.
