LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Storytime with Miss Jo held Thursdays through January

Storytime with Miss Jo will be held 11 a.m. Jan. 14, 21 and 28. All ages are welcome, and there is no preregistration.

***

Start off 2016 with a look back at your favorite authors of 2015. Some of our patrons’ top picks include James Patterson, Dr. Seuss and Stephen King. Stop in to see where your favorite authors placed.

***

Scrabble night will be 5-7 p.m. Jan. 25. Our experts are always ready for a challenge.

Also, try out the latest fad, adult coloring programs. From noon to 3 p.m. every Saturday, you can just stop in and unwind from a stressful week.

***

Drop in during the entire month of February and participate in our Blind Date with a Book program.

Staff will select and wrap books for you to take out. We will list the book’s genre and give you some clues.

Once you check out the book, you can unwrap it, and your date begins!

***

We will be holding a book discussion for Valentine’s Day Books We Love 1-3 p.m. Feb. 6. Join us to discuss your favorite book or type of books.

The staff is going to select some of their favorites to tempt you. You may get some great ideas for your next read.

The program is open to everyone.

***

Join us 1-3 p.m. March 5 for a discussion group titled Goodbye to Downton Abbey. We will discuss all our favorite characters and scenes from the popular TV series.

We will have some new books on display, as well as works from some authors who write historical fiction from the 1920s.

Everyone is welcome.

***

We are accepting donations for our April book sale. All donations are tax deductible, and we send out thank you notes as a receipt.

We no longer accept VHS tapes, encyclopedias or textbooks for the book sale.

***

Don’t let the weather get you down. If you can’t get to us, remember you can check out our electronics platforms: Overdrive, Zinio and Comics Plus.
