Paul M. Stofflet

Paul M. Stofflet, 101, of Coplay, North Whitehall Township, died Jan. 9, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the husband of the late Viola G. (Heintzelman) Stofflet.

Born May 22, 1914, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Mahlon and Estella (Merkel) Stofflet.

He was a mechanic for the former Agway in Kuhnsville for many years before retiring.

He serviced many combines in a tri-county area and into New Jersey becoming known as the “Combine Man.”

Prior to that, he worked at the former Giant Portland Cement Co., Egypt, and Willowbrook Farms.

He was the oldest member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville.

His survivors include a daughter Marlene G. Stofflet of Coplay; brother Donald of Clinton, N.J.; and a sister Jean Shoemaker of Cherryville.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Jan. 14, in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dennis W. Moore officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
