Lehigh Carbon Community College offers a new program, Success, Engagement, Education, Determination (SEED), for students with a disability struggling to be successful in college, needing training or services in academic skills, communication skills, socialization, or independent living, or who could benefit from being connected with a peer mentor and-or the ability to work with an academic-career coach.
Information nights for SEED are scheduled at LCCC’s main campus, Schnecksville, North Whitehall Township, 6 - 7:30 p.m. Jan. 14, Room 120, Rothrock Library; Feb. 2, Room 120, Community Services Center, and March 14, Room 120, Rothrock Library.
SEED was developed through a grant from the Pennsylvania Developmental Disability Council. LCCC is partnering with Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living to provide comprehensive follow-along services for students with disabilities interested in academic or career-track programs. Programming begins in July.
Application deadline is April 1. If interested, complete an application at: LCCC.edu/seed.
