Things are finally getting back into full swing and it looks like winter has finally arrived.

On Jan. 13 there is a school board meeting in the administration building 7:30 p.m.

Jan. 14 will be the first Harry S Truman Elementary School T-shirt day of 2016. Wear your shirt to show your Falcon pride.

All Salisbury Township School District schools will be closed Jan. 18. Schools will reopen Jan. 19.

On Jan. 25, there will be a curriculum and technology committee meeting 7 p.m. in the administration building.

The HST PTO is currently running a pizza fundraiser. There are five different types of 12-inch pizzas available. Orders and money are due by Jan. 15, so if you are interested. find an HST student to place your order. Options include: triple cheese, pepperoni, thick crust triple cheese, smoked provolone and mozzarella cheese and Monterey pepper jack cheese. Pickup will be 5 p.m. Jan. 27 in the HST parking lot– just in time for the Super Bowl. Any questions should be directed to Teresa Sterner at hemitoy@aol.com.

It is also time for Salisbury Youth Association 2016 traveling baseball sign-ups. All sign-ups will be done at HST and Salisbury Middle School. HST times for sign up will be 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 19 and 25 or 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 14, 21 or 28 at SMS. Sign-ups will be for both the LVL and CWL and have a registration fee as well as fundraiser options. Salisbury Township is running a bus trip to the Mohonk Mountain Estate in New Paltz, N.Y. June 11. The ticket includes a tour and lunch at Mohonk Mountain Estate, followed by free time to explore the grounds, the gift shop and the Greenhouse Garden Shop. There will also be time for carriage rides (at participant’s cost). The bus will then take participants to a wine tour at Adair Vineyards. The non-refundable cost is payable by cash, check or money order and payment is due at the time of registration. Registration deadline is March 31 at the Salisbury Township Municipal Building. Republic Services will collect Christmas trees during the month of January. Place them curbside on the second pickup day.

The next meeting of the Recreation Advisory Committee will be 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Salisbury Township Municipal Building.

The Salisbury Township Environmental Advisory Council will hold a regularly scheduled meeting 7 p.m. Jan. 20 at the Salisbury Township Municipal Building, 2900 S. Pike Ave.
