John “Jack” T. Hart, 78, of Macungie and formerly of Bethlehem, died Dec. 19, 2015, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Robert and Marcella (Carr) Hart. He was the husband of Patricia (Boyle) Hart of Macungie for 55 years.

He was in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired after 20 years of service.

He worked in the parts department of Sears Service Center for 15 years. He was a life member of the Marine Corps League and the American Legion Walter Fox Post 2, and was a member of VFW Post 9264, Macungie.

He was a craftsman and a woodworker.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Rosemary Minardo, Kathleen and her husband Bryan Ring, Eileen and her husband Peter Vesely and Erin Gallagher; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl; two brothers, Robert Hart and Bernard Hart; a sister, Marcella Bitler; seven grandchildren, Kelly, Tanya, Danielle, Joseph, Jarred, Emily and Christian; and two great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Emery.

He was predeceased by a son, Michael Hart; a grandson, Anthony Hart; and a sister, Mary Cabrera. Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kans. 66675. Arrangements were made by Connell Funeral Home Inc., Bethlehem.
