Charles R. Kunsman, 80, of Hanover Township, died Jan. 2, 2016, in Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Harry and Helen (Sipple) Kunsman.
He was in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War.
He worked in the safety and sheet metal shops at Bethlehem Steel for 32 years until he retired in 1987. He worked in the maintenance department and was a doorman at the Holiday Inn, Bethlehem.
He was a member of the former Trinity U.C.C. Church, Freemansburg.
In addition to his former wife, Jo-Ann (Alfonso) Kunsman of Freemansburg, he is survived by two daughters, Sherry L. and her husband Paul Flanagan and Sandra Lee Kunsman, all of Bethlehem; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sons, David M. Kunsman and Charles “Peanuts” R. Kunsman Jr.; a step-son, Walter Alfonso; a brother, Harry Kunsman; and a sister, June Nagy.
