Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network holds “Parkinson’s Disease Wellness Fair,” 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Jan. 11, Good Shepherd Health & Technology Center, 850 S. Fifth St., Allentown.

The fair, geared toward those with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers, provides an opportunity to learn more about Parkinson’s disease and new treatment and therapy options.

The event is free and open to the public.

Good Shepherd physicians and therapists will provide information about the Parkinson’s Disease Wellness Program, a fitness program adapted to individual needs and abilities utilizing the patient’s choice of activity: boxing, treadmill training, aquatics or dance.

Representatives from Rock Steady Boxing of the Lehigh Valley, Dance for Parkinson’s Disease, Get S.M.A.R.T. Aquatic Program and treadmill training will provide demonstrations.

There will be free health screenings, fall risk evaluations and healthy diet information.
