Marvyn L. “Mike” Souders, 78, of Orefield, died Dec. 24, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.

He and his wife Darlene J. (Snyder) Souders were married 56 years this past July.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Charles and Mildred (Snell) Souders.

A mechanical engineer for the former Fuller Co. for 42 years, he was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, South Whitehall.

He was a member of the Ontelaunee Region A.A.C.A., the Antique Automobile Club of America, the Lehigh Valley Thunderbird Club, the International Classic Thunderbird Club, and the National Street Rod Association.

He was also a member of the Over the Hill Gang, the American Legion, former member of the Ontelaunee Lions Club where he was past president, former member of the VFW, and a member of the Milton Hershey Alumni Association.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army.

He was a wonderful husband who loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Lynnette, wife of Karl Klinger of Allentown, brothers Charles and wife, Marlene, Barry and wife, Mary Jo, and Robert, all of Allentown, sisters Sandra, wife of Doug Moser, of Lehighton and Virginia Beck of Allentown; grandchildren, Jason and Adam, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, LaVaun Fisher
