Joyce A. Wisser, 88, of Allentown, died on Dec. 30, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She was the widow of Mellis M. Wisser.

Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Anna (Romig) Ruhe.

She worked in the office at the former Hess’s Department store for 28 years.

Prior to that she was a clerk at the former Zollinger Department store.

Of the Lutheran faith, she previously taught Sunday school and led Bible study class.

She also was a past Brownie Troop leader and past treasurer of the PTA.

Her survivors include a son, Ronald E. and wife, Lori, of New Tripoli; daughter Constance L. Baran of Macungie; brothers Allen and wife, Elsie, of New Tripoli and Howard and wife, Vicky, of Allentown; grandchildren Michelle, Cheri, Jimi, Shannon, Ashlee, Heather, Crystal and Troy; 14 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
