Stanley R. Gardner Sr., 90, of Bethlehem, died Dec. 30, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of the late Frances (Wisser) Gardner.

He was born in Sayre.

He was an U.S. Army medic in the 83rd Infantry Division during World War II, and was wounded in action following the Normandy Invasion.

He was a long time employee and a plant manager of Pharmachem Corporation.

He is survived by two sons, David and Stanley Jr.; a daughter, Sharon Smith; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by an infant son, Robert.

Arrangements were made by Long Funeral Home Inc., Bethlehem.
