Donald L. Palumbo, 80, of Bethlehem, formerly of Hopatcong, N.J., died Dec. 18, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospital-Anderson Campus, Bethlehem. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of the late Dominick Palumbo and Margaret (Fariello) Celli.
He was the husband of Rose (Simonetti) Palumbo for 60 years.
He was a 1953 graduate of William Howard Taft High School, Bronx.
He was in the U.S. Army National Guard, New York.
He was a route salesman and supervisor for the Stella D’oro Biscuit Company, Bronx; and a sales manager for Entenmann’s Bakery, Edison, N.J., from which he retired in 1997.
He was a member of St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, Hopatcong, for 40 years. He was a parishioner of Notre Dame Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Donald; a daughter, Christine and her husband Luke Ciaccio; three grandchildren, Gina Marie and husband Thomas Knudsen and Gabriella and David Ciaccio, a daughter in-law, Clair Valentino, and cousins.
