Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley Inc. (PCFLV), a local 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that supports the entire family battling pediatric cancer, joined efforts with Warner Art Glass Center, an art glassblowing shop located in Whitehall, to benefit children facing cancer.

On Feb. 13 and 14, the Bethlehem foundation and the glass center sponsored hands-on fun for children and their families who use the services of and receive support from PCFLV. Area community members also participated in glassblowing festivities.

At no cost to families, PCFLV provides special services to children and their families, such as support groups, tickets to local sporting and entertainment events, and a scholarship program.

The Whitehall Warner Art Glass Center opened its doors six months ago but has been a leader in the stained glass business for almost 30 years.

Charles Warner, owner of the glass center, told The Press, “It’s truly exciting to expose young hearts and minds to such a captivating art form while supporting the absolutely amazing works of PCFLV.”

Warner commented that during his education, glassblowing was not really taught in school.

“I knew kids would love it,” Warner said when asked how the idea came about to hold a benefit function for the pediatric cancer organization.

Warner Art Glass Center donated a portion of the weekend’s proceeds directly to PCFLV.
