George J. Glueck, 81, of Macungie, died Dec. 23, 2015. He was the husband of MaryLouise “Gail” Glueck for 44 years.
He was a son of the late George and Marian (Gross) Glueck.
He was a graduate of Lafayette College.
He was in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1958.
He was an engineer for Bell Labs, Western Electric and AT&T from 1963 until he retired in 1994.
He was a parishioner of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church.
He was a CYO wrestling and football coach. He was an assistant coach and statistician for the Bethlehem Catholic football team, and was a part of the 1988 and 1990 Becahi state championship teams. He was a bowler and bowled two perfect games.
He is survived by five children, Susan of Bethlehem; George Jr. of Lehighton; Robert of Nazareth, Lawrence and his wife Lynn of Coopersburg and Steven and his wife of Joanne of Douglasville; two sisters, Maryann Thee, wife of the late Nicholas Thee of Lansdale and Helen and her husband Forrest Kerr, of Colmar; and two brothers, James, and his wife Ursula Glueck of Arizona and Lawrence and his wife Kathleen Glueck, of Mass.; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
