The State Senate unanimously approved state Sen. Lisa M. Boscola’s road transfer legislation (Senate Bill 1064) that would bring the FedEx hub and approximately 5, 500 jobs to the Lehigh Valley.

Senate Appropriations Committee chairman Pat Browne and Senator Mario Scavello co-sponsored the bill, which permits the transfer to the state six-tenths of a mile of Willowbrook Road from Race St. to the Hanover/Allen townships line.

The legislation now goes to the House for consideration.
