From 9-11 a.m. Dec. 19, Salem United Church of Christ, 615 Third St., will have a breakfast with Santa. Join the church for scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage and home fries, along with pastries, fruit, juice and coffee.

There will be crafts for the kids.

The George Taylor House, Lehigh and Poplar streets, will hold its first annual old-fashioned Christmas 4-6 p.m. Dec. 20. There will be cauldrons of mulled cider and hot chocolate over open fire pits, toasting of marshmallows for s’mores and other goodies. The house will feature decorated Christmas trees in the downstairs rooms. Ken Serfass & Co. will provide live music.

Bring the family and enjoy. Hope to see you there!

Catasauqua Thrift Shop, 113 Bridge St., is selling all Christmas items for 50 percent off. The shop will be closed Dec. 24, 25, 26 and 31 and Jan. 1 and 2.

Proceeds from the thrift shop are returned to the community through contributions that support youth and adult programs and services.
