The Emmaus swim teams opened the season last weekend at the Cedar Crest Invitational Meet.

The Hornets won nine events including all four freestyle relay events.

On the girls side, Casey Young, Katie Champagne and Chelsea Gravereaux were part of both winning freestyle relay teams. Abby Heilenman rounded out the winning 400 freestyle relay team, while Lydia Garton was the fourth member of the 200 free relay winners.

Kaitlin Hur took first place in the backstroke and was the Hornets only individual event winner for the girls team.

For the Emmaus boys, Connor DeJohn, Tom Schlechter, Jason Yerger and Patrick McAllister teamed up to win both freestyle relays.

Individual event winners on the boys’ side include DeJohn (200 freestyle), Ethan Carr (inidividual medley), Tom Schlechter (butterfly) and McAllister (backstroke).

Diving results from the meet were not received by the Press.
