EYER
For the fourth year, Eyer Middle School is helping the Coco Foundation and the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley collect gifts for the children’s oncology units of Lehigh Valley Hospital, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and other regional children’s oncology units. Some of the gifts collected will stay “in stock” at the hospitals: they will be used repeatedly to entertain toddlers, kids and teenagers while they undergo treatment. Other items will be given to individual patients as a way to spread some holiday cheer.
Eyer Middle School is asking for voluntary donations from students, staff, families and community members. This year’s present drive will take place through Dec. 16.
Social Students teacher Kelsey Torpey and the Eyer Builder’s Club are sponsoring this event.
