Harold G. Schoch, 92, of Slatington, died Nov. 30, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He was the husband of the late Margaret M. (Gimbel) Schoch.
Born Oct. 7, 1923, in Ironton, he was the son of the late George and Meda (Mertz) Schoch.
He was a delivery man and milk processer at the former Reinert’s Dairy, Schnecksville, before retiring.
Prior to that, he worked for the former Overlook Orchards, North Whitehall Township, and the former Portland Cement Co., Ormrod.
He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Laurys Station, and a former volunteer at Community Fire Co. No. 1, Schnecksville.
His survivors include children Eileen J. Young and her husband, Wayne, of Lower Nazareth Township, Ralph D. and his wife, Cathy, of Friedens, Harold G. “Butch” Jr. and his wife, Terry, of Ironton; grandchildren,Kevin and Danielle Young, and Nicole Kauffman; and great-grandchildren Jaycee, Tanner, Cale, Jaxon, Ty, Brooke, Riley and Madison.
A private funeral service will be held at Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Schnecksville.
There will be no public calling hours.
Interment with military honors will follow the service at St. John’s Church Cemetery, Laurys Station.
