The Eastern Pennsylvania Conference announced its scholar-athletes for the fall sports season.

Two Bethlehem Catholic seniors made the list, as Rachel Wills took home the honors in girls soccer and Ballee Deshler won in girls tennis.

Nominees are selected by the coach of their high school teams and then a committee reviews the nominations submitted by each school and makes its selections.

This year’s recipients will be honored on December 17 at a luncheon at Stroudmoor Country Inn in Stroudsburg.

The scholar-athletes are determined based 40 percent on athletic achievement, 40 percent on academic achievement and 20 percent on extracurricular activities and community involvement.

The fall winners include: Boys Cross Country: Kevin Lapsansky (Easton); Girls Cross Country: Diana Hammerstone (Easton); Field Hockey: Samantha Tepper (Stroudsburg); Football: Zakary Bauer (Parkland); Golf: Christopher Toleno (East Stroudsburg South); Boys Soccer: Nicholas Zielinski (Central Catholic); Girls Soccer: Rachel Wills (Bethlehem Catholic); Girls Tennis: Ballee Deshler (Bethlehem Catholic) and Girls Volleyball: Sienna Salvaggio (Parkland)
