The NAACP Celebration of Life for “Mother” Amelia Boynton Robinson will be held at 4 p.m. Dec. 6 at St. James A.M.E. Zion Church, 410 Union St., Allentown.

The leader of the American Civil Rights movement in Selma, Ala., is the 2015 inductee to the Freedom Memorial of the Lehigh Valley, Stories that shaped a Nation.

Community women leaders from Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton NAACP and other organizations will lead the March to Freedom memorial. There will be performances by local youth. A reception will follow.
