Donald Joseph Kennedy, 85, of Orefield died Nov. 20, 2015, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown.

He and his wife Marie A. (Fardis) Kennedy were married 61 years.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Joseph I. and Catherine H. (Miller) Kennedy.

He retired as a sales representative from Crowder Jr. Co., Allentown.

A Korean War veteran, he served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Allentown.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael J. of Orefield; daughter, Karen Kennedy and her fiancé, Thomas Ebanks of New Tripoli; and sister Kathleen Mantz.

He was predeceased by sisters, Joanne Rothdeutsch and Rosemarie Yanders.
