Inspections held Monday have again delayed the opening of the Hokendauqua-North Catasauqua Bridge.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is now planned for 11 a.m. Dec. 1 on the Whitehall side of the span. The ceremony has been postponed twice.

Lehigh County Director of General Services Rick Molchany said the Monday inspections took most of the day and went very well.

“There are no safety issues,” said Molchany, adding this week will be spent “crossing all the t’s and dotting the i’s.”
