Josephine Sabatino Capuano, 96, died Nov.13, 2015. She was the wife of the late Frank Capuano.
She was the daughter of the late Filippo and Anna Sabatino.
She attended Roseto School.
three long years, she continued her seamstress job, living with her mother in Roseto and keeping her faith even after the Army notice that Frank was Missing In Action (MIA) in Italy. Upon Frank’s return from the war, Josephine and Frank were married at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Roseto, Pa.
She was a seamstress for 34 years for Debbie Sue Fashions until she retired at age 62.
She was a member of Holy Rosary and Holy Ghost R.C. churches, Bethlehem.
She was, for more than 60 years, a member of the St. Bernard R.C. Society, Bethlehem; and a member of the senior citizen society of Bethlehem and of the Holy Ghost seniors group.
She is survived by her daughter: Frances J. Walters and her husband Ed of Cranbury, NJ and son: John Capuano and his wife Donna of Bethlehem; two sisters: Anna Catino and Angeline Magdits both of Roseto; four grandchildren, Sue Munder of Morrison, Colo., Sheila Baab of Bethlehem, Karen Schreier of Robbinsville, N.J. and Michael Walters of Bordentown, N.J.; and nine great-grandchildren, Erin, Tyler, Sydney, Bianca, Eric, Kevin, Kimberly, Matthew and Benjamin.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Dominic and Anthony; and two sisters, Lucy and Mary.
