Myles A. Miller Sr.

Myles A. Miller, Sr., 95, of Tamaqua, formerly of Germansville, died Nov. 4, 2015, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

He was predeceased by his wife Kathryn F.A. (DeLong) Miller in 1990.

Born in Lynn Township, he was a son of the late Charles F. and Anne L. (Bachman) Miller.

A lifelong, self-employed farmer in the Germansville and New Tripoli areas, he retired in 1987.

During this time, he also was involved in auto sales working at various car dealerships in the Lehigh Valley area.

He later operated his own auto sales business at his homer in Germansville during the 1970s.

He was a member of Heidelberg UCC, Heidelberg Township.

A 1938 graduate of Slatington High School, he later attending Franklin and Marshall College.

He enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling in Potter County.

His survivors include sons Myles A. Jr. and his wife, Lorraine, of Schnecksville, Harold D. and his wife, Nancy, of Whitehall, and Lee R. and his wife, Ruth, of Tamaqua, with whom he last resided; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and companion, Ida Wertman of New Tripoli.

He was predeceased by a son Glenn C. and siblings Leah Long and Ralph, Paul, Charles and Warren.
