As we move into the holiday season, the library board and staff would like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving!

The library will close 5 p.m. Nov. 25 and will be closed all day Nov. 26. The library will also close 6 p.m. Dec. 15 for the staff Christmas party.

We currently are holding a banner contest. Design a banner for the library to be used at our events. The contest is open to everyone, and the winner will receive a Barnes & Noble gift card.

Entry forms are available at the library. The deadline is Dec. 7.

Scrabble night will be 5-7 p.m. Nov. 30. Our experts are waiting for you!

We will have a fundraiser at Barnes & Noble in the Lehigh Valley Mall 5-9 p.m. Dec. 1. Stop at the library to pick up a voucher and take it to the store when you make your purchase.

The library will receive 10 percent of your purchase as a donation. You can also use the voucher online Dec. 1-7. Just type in the fundraiser code (on the voucher) during checkout.

The library also will be doing gift wrapping during the fundraiser.

Storytime with Miss Jo will be held 11 a.m. Dec. 3, 10 and 17. All ages are welcome, and there is no preregistration required.

The library will host a holiday open house noon-3 p.m. Dec. 12 for all ages.

We will have storytime, crafts and Christmas music. Refreshments will be served.

On Dec. 13, our friends at Keystone Pub & Grill, 1410 Grape St., Whitehall, will host a fundraiser for the library. Join us 4-7 p.m., and Keystone will donate a portion of your check to the library.

Please be sure to mention you are there for the fundraiser in order for us to receive the donation.

We are holding a 50/50 holiday raffle. For only 50 cents a ticket, you could be the lucky winner.

The drawing will be held noon Dec. 22.
