St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., will kick off a yearlong jubilee celebration Nov. 15. A 40-hour devotion will be held in honor of the church’s 75 years as a parish.
The act of continuous adoration begins immediately following the 11:30 a.m. Mass and will go until 7 p.m. that evening, at which time a prayer service will be held. The devotions continue 8:30 a.m. Nov. 16 and 17 in the St. Joseph Chapel and conclude 7 p.m. with a prayer service in the church.
All are welcome to join.
“Let us rejoice in the celebration of our jubilee year,” said Father Edward Essig, pastor of St. Elizabeth.
The parish is planning several anniversary events to take place throughout 2016.
The anniversary committee is looking for information from parishioners and community members regarding people and events that have occurred during the past 75 years. If you have stories, pictures or memorabilia to share, please contact the church office at 610-266-0695 or email the church secretary at secretary@sercc.org.
