Salisbury Theatre presents ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’
Salisbury High School’s performance of “The Importance of Being Earnest” is this weekend. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Nov. 12, 13 and 14 and 3 p.m. Nov. 15. To order your tickets, send an email to salisburytheatre@salisburysd.org. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.
The Western Salisbury Elementary School PTA will hold a book fair 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 13 at Barnes & Noble, The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley, 2845 Center Valley Parkway, Center Valley. Remember, books always make good gifts and Christmas is only seven weeks away.
Winter sport practices begin Nov. 16.
Picture retake day is Nov. 17 at the middle school. Students need to return the first packet of pictures to the photographer when getting pictures retaken.
All new members of National Honor Society will be inducted during a ceremony at Salisbury High School 7 p.m. Nov. 19. Congratulations on this great academic achievement.
A school board meeting will be held 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at the administration building.
Now for a list of all the early dismissals and days off over the Thanksgiving holiday. Please read carefully because not every school has early dismissals every day. Every building has early dismissal Nov. 20 with the high school and middle school dismissing 12:15 p.m. and elementary 1 p.m.
Salisbury Middle School and the elementary schools have early dismissal for parent-teacher conferences Nov. 23 through 25. The middle school will dismiss 12:15 p.m. and the elementary 1 p.m.
All schools will be closed Nov. 26, 27 and 30 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church will hold a community breakfast 8 to 11 a.m. Nov. 14. A donation is suggested. All proceeds benefit the 275th anniversary celebration.
The Devonshire yard waste drop-off site will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 17 and 21.
