Dr. Gladstone “Fluney” Hutchinson of Orefield, associate professor of economics and founding director of Economic Empowerment and Global Learning Project at Lafayette College, was named a 2015 SUNY Oneonta Alumni of Distinction honoree.

Hutchinson graduated from SUNY Oneonta in 1983.

In 2014, the SUNY Oneonta Alumni Association established the Alumni of Distinction program to recognize graduates who have distinguished themselves through their careers.

The 2015 Alumni of Distinction honorees were recognized at a ceremony on Sept. 4, which is also “Red Day,” the anniversary of SUNY Oneonta’s founding.
