Congratulations to the Salisbury High School varsity football team for its win Nov. 6 against Southern Lehigh.

The boys will face Northwestern 7 p.m. Nov. 13 for a District XI Class 2A semifinal game. Advance tickets are discounted for students and senior citizens aged 62 and over. All tickets purchased at the gate will be full price.

There will be a student fan bus for the game. The bus will depart SHS 5:30 p.m. Friday. It will return to SHS immediately following the game and any students taking the bus to the game must take it back to school.

The Salisbury Athletic Booster Club will feed students taking the fan bus between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.

Attention all Salisbury winter athletes. Baseline ImPACT testing will be held for winter sport athletes 5:30 p.m. Nov. 11 and 3 p.m. Nov. 12. ImPACT is a requirement in order to participate in athletics. Student athletes are not permitted to practice until they have a current baseline test.

A new baseline ImPACT test is required for any middle or high school athletes who have never played a Salisbury sport, any seventh, eighth or ninth grader who did not play a fall sport and any high school athlete who has not taken a new baseline test within the last two years.

ImPACT testing will take place at the high school computer lab in Room 005 and lasts about 30 minutes. Students should enter SHS at the teacher lot side entrance, door #15.

Students must arrive on time. Once testing begins, no one will be permitted to enter the room. Email Brynn Mahoney at bmahoney@salisburysd.org with any questions or if a student cannot make these dates or times.

The Salisbury High School Theatre Department presents “The Importance of Being Earnest” 7 p.m. Nov. 12, 13 and 14 and 3 p.m. Nov. 15. Tickets may be purchased from cast members, by emailing salisburytheatre@salisburysd.org, by calling Cherie Pennella at 610-797-4107, ext. 2508 or at the door. It will be a great show, so come out and support SHS Theatre this weekend.

There will be an early dismissal 12:15 p.m. Nov. 20. There will be no afternoon LCTI, but students with signed permission slips may dismiss 9:23 a.m. CAP and ACADEMIC students will be picked up 11:30 a.m. to return to SHS for transportation home. There will be no school Nov. 26 through 30 for Thanksgiving break. School will resume Dec. 1.

The class of 2017 is selling Perkins Pies for the Thanksgiving holiday. There are 12 varieties to choose from. Pies can be ordered from any member of the junior class or directly through teacher Susan Wilson at SHS at swilson@salisburysd.org.

Pies can be picked up at the Lehigh Street Perkins on November 24 or 25. Only pies listed on the school order sheet will be available through this fundraiser. Thanks for your support.
