To the Editor:

We mourn the recent death of David O. Miller, the retired elementary art supervisor in the East Penn School District.

David Miller was a friend of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Emmaus, since 1970 and shared in the social and parish nurse ministries of St. John’s through his artistic renderings of logos, caricatures and numerous other graphics on murals, posters and booklets. He shared his artistic gifts with children, youth and adults in the East Penn School District and the Emmaus community for special events and celebrations. His signature “DOM” renderings continue to touch, inspire and enhance the lives of others, and contribute to the well-being of the Emmaus community.

We commend his wife, Vera for her ministry of presence and compassionate care to David as well as family, friends and Lehigh Valley Hospice.

David O. Miller will not be forgotten. He will be remembered with thanksgiving.
