Voters choose five for school board

Six candidates competed in the Nov. 3 municipal election for five open positions on the Parkland School Board.

Of those six, Lisa Adams, Robert Bold, Carole Facchiano and David Kennedy, who cross-filed on both tickets, and Jef Reyburn, who ran on the Republican ticket, will be taking seats on the board, according to unofficial Lehigh County voter registration results.

Rochell Figueroa, who ran on the Democratic ticket, came in sixth.

Unofficially, Adams garnered 6,865 votes; Facchiano received 6,766; Kennedy earned 6,757 votes; Bold received 6,509 and Reyburn, in fifth place, received 4,743 votes.

Adams is serving her sixth year on the board.

Bold has served 16 years on the board with four terms as president. He has been president of the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit board of directors for the past five years.

Kennedy is an 18-year member of the school board and current vice president.

Facchiano is a newcomer to the school board but has been active in various committees and PTOs in Parkland for many years.

Reyburn, who just completed his first term on the board, has children at three different levels in Parkland schools.
