Janis L. (McCarter) Brown, 61, from Schnecksville died on Oct.29, 2015, in her home.

She and her husband Robert E. Brown Sr. were married 33 years Sept. 19.

Born Aug. 14, 1954, in Roslyn, Montgomery County, she was the daughter of Virginia W. (White) McCarter of Schnecksville and the late Robert E. McCarter Sr.

A registered health information technician, she was formerly employed at Lehigh Valley Health Network for 10 years.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by children Juliet L. Brown of Los Angeles, Calif., Robert E. Jr. of Schnecksville; siblings Nancy D. Heit and her husband, Michael, of Harrisburg, and Robert E. McCarter Jr. of Monson, Maine.

Her service will be private, at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
