Gockley recycling markers for Crayola

Gockley Elementary School students have begun participating in Crayola’s recycling program called “Color Cycle.”

It involves recycling dried-up, used markers for clean energy. Instead of throwing away old markers, collect them and send them in a resealable bag to school with your child.

The program is being coordinated by the building’s art teacher, Mr. Brader.

Parents can visit the website, crayola.com/colorcycle, for more information.

American Education Week will be celebrated at Gockley Nov. 16-20 by inviting parents to visit their child’s classroom and experience a part of their child’s daily routine.

Please be sure to follow your child’s teacher’s times. Parents are asked to use the front entrance to come into the building, sign the visitor sheet and take a visitor badge. A photo ID is required to enter the building.

If there are any younger siblings, please be sure to make arrangements, so they do not have to attend. Also, be sure to enter and leave the classroom quietly during the visit so that classroom procedures are not disrupted.
