Coplay Recreation & Welfare Association’s community food bank is always welcoming food donations in order to keep its shelves stocked.

To help its clients on a monthly basis, some residents also provide monetary donations to assist with the project.

Tuna fish is usually in short supply. Other items the pantry is short on include cereals, peanut butter, jam, canned fruit, vegetables and meat.

Coplay Community Days will have a park bench erected at the community plaza, Second and Chestnut streets, as a tribute to Stanley Reinhard Jr., who is active with the Community Days Committee.

The site is being turned into a park, labeled as the “gateway to Coplay.” The committee also will have a gazebo placed on the grounds.

Coplay Garden Club has planted flowers on the perimeter of the plaza grounds. The land was recently given to the borough by Giant Foods.
