Vito “Sonny” J. Villani, 83, of Bethlehem, died Oct. 30, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Antonio and Anna (Falco) Villani He was the husband of Geraldine (Bednar) Villani for 62 years.

He was a 1950 graduate of Liberty High School.

He was in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

He was plant superintendent for Just Born Candies for 45 years until he retired in 2005.

He was a member of Advent Moravian Church, Bethlehem.

He was instrumental in establishing and had served on the board of Jay Bee Credit Union.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Carol A. Faber of Bath and Susan M. of Bethlehem; two sons, Stephen V. and his wife Virginia of Bethlehem Township and Richard A. and his wife Laurie of Linden, Va.; six grandchildren, Randi Gerencser, Eric and his wife Tara Gerencser, Laurie Anne Bradley, Christina Villani,and Heidi and Harry Faber; three great-grandsons, Trey, Anthony, and James; a sister, Terry Ruhf of Bath; and two brothers, Joseph and his wife Eileen Villani of Bethlehem and Dominic and his wife Nancy Villani of Nazareth.

He was predeceased by two siblings, Dolly DeFrancisco and Richard Villani.
